Interesting Facts:

Digger bees are a heat-loving species that fly in summer, mainly in the Mediterranean area. However, in areas with a warm enough climate, these bees can also be observed in South Tyrol. They nest almost exclusively on cliffs and escarpments made of sand, clay and fine sediments carried by the wind..
